Building French Cleats
In this video, I’ll show you how to organize a small woodworking workshop.
To do that, I built what Americans call French cleats — a simple but incredibly effective wall storage system.
French cleats are basically wooden strips cut at a 45-degree angle. By attaching one strip to the wall and another to the tool or object you want to hang, they lock together perfectly, making it easy to mount and rearrange tools whenever you want.
The best way to really understand how it works is to watch the video.
It’s an extremely simple system that helps save a lot of space in a small workshop. It’s a great way to keep your workspace organized and make sure all your essential tools are always within easy reach.
